The City of Williamsburg Police Department is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Certified Police Officer.

This position enforces the laws of the Commonwealth and City government; takes reports of citizen complaints; conducts traffic enforcement and escorts; assists citizens in need; calms domestic disturbances; aids motorists; provides local information and directions to tourists; processes crime scenes; renders emergency first aid; assists the fire department; assists

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Good mental and physical health.
• Vision correctable to 20/30 and no color blindness.
• Be of good moral character.
• Have no felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude,
• Having no convictions of a crime involving Domestic Violence.
