The studio offers a range of programming, including foundational, intermediate, athletic, strength-focused, restorative, and specialty Reformer classes that promote strength, mobility, balance, and confidence. Pilates 636 emphasizes a welcoming, community-centered environment where each client is known, supported, and encouraged. Instructors collaborate to deliver high-quality, safe, and engaging sessions that help clients progress toward their personal wellness goals.

Role Description

The Certified Pilates Instructor will deliver Reformer-based small-group, private, and duo sessions, ensuring safe, effective, and inclusive workouts tailored to individual client needs and abilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning class formats, demonstrating and cueing exercises, offering modifications and progressions, and maintaining a supportive atmosphere that aligns with the studio’s community-centered values. The instructor will greet clients, answer questions, track attendance, and ensure equipment is set up, cleaned, and stored properly. Additional tasks may include collaborating on programming, participating in studio events, and providing feedback to support client retention and satisfaction. This is a contract, on-site role located in Johnson City, TX.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Pilates Instruction and Teaching, with current certification from a recognized Pilates training program.
• Experience leading Group Exercise classes, including Reformer-based sessions, with strong skills in cueing, pacing, and class management.
• Understanding of movement mechanics and body alignment; background in Physical Therapy or related fields is beneficial.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to build rapport, communicate clearly, and create an inclusive, welcoming environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends, and to collaborate effectively with studio leadership and peers.
