Job Overview

The Certified Phlebotomy Technician I works under the supervision of the Laboratory Director, Laboratory Supervisor, CPT Supervisor, Lead Certified Phlebotomy Technician, and Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Responsibilities include phlebotomy and facilitating the flow of information into and out of the lab by interacting with the public, using computer systems, delivering reports, and answering phones and emails.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) or higher (CPA, MLT, CLS) issued by California.
  • Experience: One-year acute care hospital experience or externship at NorthBay preferred.

Compensation
  • Hourly salary range: $34.33 - $37.94 (based on experience).
  • Evening shift differential: $2.70/hour.
  • Night shift differential: $4.20/hour.
