Description

As a team member of the Phlebotomy Float Pool, you will be assigned to assist various ambulatory sites, such as Ronald Reagan Hospital and Santa Monica Hospital.

Responsibilities include:

1. Perform phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients of all ages.
2. Triage lab samples and requests after verifying appropriate information.
3. Centrifuge, measure, aliquot, and/or preserve samples.
4. Enter and verify patient and test information into the computer.
5. Generate computer labels for specimens and deliver them to appropriate areas.
6. Prepare samples for transport to referral labs or storage.
7. Document phlebotomy draws, test results, and specimen status in written reports.
8. Prepare documentation for batch or outside lab referral specimens.
9. Perform inventory counts.
10. Assist in monitoring workflow and schedules.

Shift Hours

Shifts include:

• 4:00 am - 12:30 pm
• 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm
• 8:30 pm - 5:00 am

This is a per diem position with flexible assignment based on operational needs, including rotating weekends and holidays. It may convert to a permanent role.

Salary Range: $30.30/hour
