Job summary

KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC. in Orange, CA is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Tech to perform venous and capillary blood collection, ensure proper labeling, and transport specimens for testing.

Responsibilities include following established procedures, maintaining patient verification, and assisting with non-technical tasks such as specimen processing in preparation for testing by CLS. BLS certification is required, with 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS from American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of general acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper procedures in specimen collection and labeling.
• Collect blood specimens by venous and capillary puncture.
• Transport specimens to the testing facility and ensure receipt of the specimen.
• Assist with non-technical functions as requested, e.g., preparing specimens for testing by CLS.
