Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Certified Phlebotomist II to obtain blood samples from patients and ensure specimen integrity. The role emphasizes proper transport, processing, and preparation of samples, as well as clerical support for the laboratory team.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of hospital phlebotomy experience, a current CPT license, and BCLS certification.
The Certified Phlebotomist II is the Department’s primary support system and is responsible for procuring blood samples from patients, for preserving the integrity of specimens and for proper transporting, processing and preparation of all samples. Support from Laboratory Assistants also includes clerical functions such as answering telephone inquiries from other departments of the facility, dissemination of laboratory reports and communicating with referral laboratories utilized by the department.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
At least two (2) years of experience as a Phlebotomist in a hospital setting preferred.

The hourly rate range for this position is $25.33 to $34.09.
