Actalent is hiring a Phlebotomist II for a contract, hybrid role based in Katy, TX. The ideal candidate will perform blood collections using straight and butterfly needles, process specimens, and ensure accurate documentation.

You will support patient care in a fast-paced lab or hospital team and help maintain specimen integrity. The position requires 3+ years phlebotomy, experience with all blood collection tube types, and comfort with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years phlebotomy experience in hospital, lab, or high-volume clinic.
• Strong experience with all blood collection tube types and specimen handling.
• Comfortable working with pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, label, process, centrifuge, store, and prepare specimens for testing and transport.
• Verify patient information, physician orders, and requisitions for accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, DEP, HIPAA, and lab safety standards.

• Support workflow improvements, troubleshoot specimen issues, and assist with staff training.

Phlebotomist II

Join a fast-paced laboratory or hospital team where you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality patient care. The Phlebotomist II is responsible for performing venipuncture, capillary collections, specimen processing, and sample handling while ensuring patient comfort and specimen integrity.

• Perform blood collections using straight and butterfly needles for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Collect, label, process, centrifuge, store, and prepare specimens for testing and transport.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
