Job Summary:

The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing pharmacy services, including preparing pharmaceuticals, managing inventory, conducting compliance audits, processing financial transactions, offering customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records. The technician works as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team under the supervision of a Pharmacist.

Essential Functions:

• Receiving and verifying prescriptions for accuracy and authenticity
• Reviewing and recording patient information in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Educating patients on medication usage
• Supporting daily pharmacy operations
• Adhering to infection-control protocols to ensure safety
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or GED
• Valid ExCPT Certification from the National Healthcareer Association or PTCB certification, with registration with the State Board of Pharmacy

Experience:

• Preferred experience in retail, outpatient, hospital, or home infusion pharmacy settings

Skills & Abilities:
