JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for a PRN, part-time role in Corpus Christi, TX.

Responsibilities include answering phones, assisting patients and clinicians, maintaining drug storage conditions and labeling, and ensuring accurate patient profiles and insurance processing. The ideal candidate is a certified pharmacy technician with at least 1 year of relevant experience, able to assist customers, prep medications, and support the pharmacist in charge.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified pharmacy technician with valid credentials.
• Experience answering telephones and assisting patients, doctors, and clinics.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones; respond to questions from patients, doctors and clinics.
• Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
• Assist customers by answering simple questions or referring them to the pharmacist.
• Pre-pack bulk medicines, fill bottles, and label medications.
• Establish or maintain patient profiles and medication lists.
• Receive prescriptions or refill requests and verify information.
• Order, label, and count medication stock.
• Price and file prescriptions that have been filled.
• Operate cash registers to accept payment from customers.
• Clean and help maintain equipment and sterilize glassware.
• Mix pharmaceutical preparations per prescriptions.
• Prepare and process medical insurance claim forms and records.
• Price stock and mark items for sale.
• Transfer medication to sterile syringes using aseptic techniques.
• Maintain and merchandise home healthcare products.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus.
