Qualifications

• Education: Recently certified, licensed, or graduated within the past 12 months; minimum required. Three to five years of equivalent experience preferred.
• License and Certification: Current pharmacy technician registration and certification recognized by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Experience: Three to five years of relevant experience preferred.
• Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail; work cooperatively with staff; handle interruptions and adapt to workload changes; set priorities; solve problems; respond quickly to emergencies; communicate effectively; and assist in meeting patient pharmaceutical needs.

The starting salary range is approximately $19.42/hr - $24.01/hr, depending on experience, skills, and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and patient records. Work under supervision of a registered pharmacist; do not perform duties exclusive to registered pharmacists.
• Procure and distribute medication orders per requests and policies.
• Accurately fill orders, prepare sterile preparations, and deliver medications.
• Maintain stock levels and organize medication storage.
• Manage medication returns, data entry, and documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of pharmacy areas.
• Conduct regular medication storage inspections and participate in quality improvement projects.
