Reports to Title: Pharmacy Supervisor, Manager, or Director
Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position: Under general supervision, assist the pharmacist in processing medication orders by selecting, assembling, and preparing medications for inpatient and outpatient services. Responsibilities include medication preparation, data entry, inventory management, drug compounding, and patient interaction, in accordance with state laws and regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Licensing/Certification: ExCPT or PTCB certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy (required)
Education: High School Diploma or GED (required); completion of approved pharmacy technician training preferred.
Work Experience: Experience in retail, outpatient, hospital, or home infusion pharmacy preferred.
Skills: EMR, medication stocking, prescription processing, compounding, insurance claims, attention to detail, customer service, problem-solving, communication skills, and familiarity with robotic dispensing systems.
