Job summary

Kinney Drugs is seeking a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in triaging, processing and delivering prescriptions in Springfield, VT. The role supports inventory management and third-party claims, with duties including cash handling and answering phones, in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED; AS degree or higher and PTCB certification are preferred. Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma (or GED).
• Preferred: AS Degree or Higher.
• PTCB or other nationally recognized certification program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in triaging, processing and delivering prescriptions to patients.
• Assist in management of Pharmacy Inventory and Third-Party Receivables.
• Perform duties of Pharmacy Clerk, including cash register operations and answering phones.
• Learn and use pharmacy management system and POS system; follow instructions and complete tasks with urgency.
• Ensure every prescription is checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
