Qualifications

• Licensed or registered as required by the state of practice.
• Experience in Retail / Community Pharmacy settings is preferred.

• Strong typing and handwriting quality are important.
• Good organization and time management are required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain attendance.
• Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input customer and prescription data into the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and stock shelves.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional pharmacy environment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in all activities.
• Follow licensure requirements for the state of practice.
