Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a pharmacist to deliver patient-focused care within our retail pharmacy environment. You will interact with customers, process prescriptions, and promote clinical services while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required or equivalent.
• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Proficient typing skills and attention to detail.
• Neat handwriting and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Input customer and prescription information into the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and stock shelves.
• Complete paperwork for filling prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy and confidentiality of patient information.
