Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in delivering timely and accurate medications to patients. This part-time role operates on rotating shifts within Mount Carmel East Hospital.

You will perform unit dose dispensing, sterile/non-sterile compounding, packaging, inventory control, record keeping, and billing under pharmacist supervision. Growth opportunities exist through ongoing training and advancement to further certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
• Licensure / Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification; active registration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Experience: Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills.
• Aptitude in mathematical manipulations (ratios, proportions, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions).
• Desire to advance pharmacology knowledge to Certified Pharmacy Technician level.

The Certified Pharmacy Tech , will assist the pharmacist in assuring timely and accurate provision of medications to patients. Technician responsibilities are performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. These functions may include unit dose dispensing, sterile compounding, non-sterile compounding, medication packaging, inventory control, record keeping and billing, and use of equipment and automated technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High school graduation or equivalent

• Licensure / Certification: Approved Pharmacy Technician Certification. Active registration as a Certified Tech with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.

• Experience: Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred

• A desire to career build, with ambition to elevate their working pharmacy knowledge to the extent of their Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification
