Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed by only a registered pharmacist. In addition to responsibilities for a Tech I, Pharmacy Technician II demonstrates a high level of initiative and motivation along with competency in a specialized area(s) of the department.
This position is for medication history/reconciliation technicians who will be joining a growing team of one pharmacist and three technicians. This team is devoted to collecting information from patients, their families/surrogates, pharmacies, doctors' offices, and beyond to ensure accurate admission and discharge medication reconciliations are performed. These roles are vital in enhancing patient safety and provide excellent opportunities for these technicians to interface with and support our patients and community.

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $19.42/hr and $27.31/hr. The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, and other requirements for the position.
