UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to manage enterprise inventory, ensure formulary alignment, and maintain accurate perpetual stock at our hospital facilities. The role requires strong DEA compliance and a focus on safety in daily operations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a hospital pharmacy setting, possesses active state registration, and holds a CPhT or RPhT credential.

Qualifications

• Active state pharmacy technician registration required.
• 2+ years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and/or RPhT as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Leads enterprise-level inventory operations, including procurement processes, formulary alignment, and perpetual inventory accuracy.
• Oversees controlled substance programs, DEA compliance, and safety with institutional policies.
• Conducts advanced audits and analytics on inventory integrity, cost containment, shortages mitigation, and resilience.
• Leads system-wide medication safety initiatives, including risk mitigation and education for staff.
• Facilitates root cause analysis and continuous improvement; acts as a safety champion to leadership.

• Leads enterprise-level inventory operations, including procurement processes, formulary alignment, and perpetual inventory accuracy.


• Oversees controlled substance programs, diversion prevention efforts, and compliance with DEA and institutional policies.


• conducts advanced audits and operations reviews to advise on inventory integrity analytics, cost containment strategies, medication shortage mitigation, and supply chain resilience.


• Leads system-wide medication safety initiatives, including risk mitigation, error prevention, and safety education.


• Facilitates root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts. Serves as a pharmacy safety champion and advisor to leadership.
