Job Summary: Works as a member of the Production Team (Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding) under the direction of a pharmacist and in coordination with the other technicians. Activities include Intravenous admixture preparation (small and large volume parenteral admixtures), Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) using proper aseptic technique, non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and repackaging of oral medications. Delivers medications as needed and attends periodic area meetings.

  • Full-Time, 2nd Shift (1p-11:30p), 8 on / 6 off schedule

  • Organize daily tasks efficiently and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Maintain medicine stock quality and availability.
  • Provide pharmacy services in patient care areas.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support departmental goals.
  • Keep knowledge and skills current, and contribute to educating others.
  • Support a positive work environment through good communication and teamwork.
  • Deliver age-appropriate care following Age Specific Care Guidelines.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Have (Not Required):

  • Completion of a formal technician training program.
  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology.
  • Sterile compounding experience.
