Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support in-patient and retail pharmacies across the system. Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists, medication preparation under supervision, IV admixture, and patient-centered care for diverse populations.

Ideal candidates hold active CPhT certification, are eligible for KY licensure as PHT or PHI, and have or seek a high school diploma or GED. Prior pharmacy experience is a plus and service to the community is valued.

Qualifications

• Active National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA is required.
• Licensure route: Pharmacy Technician (PHT), KY OR Pharmacy Intern (PHI), KY must be pursued.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist with medication use process and patient care from neonate to geriatric.
• Follow guidelines under pharmacist supervision for medication preparation and distribution.
• Support IV admixture, dispensing, and inventory maintenance; verify insurance; assist with technology and medication deliveries.
