Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information, process prescriptions, and coach technicians if PTCB certified.

You will engage customers, deliver a distinctive service experience, and support inventory and cash register operations while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and in other Pharmacy Department duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and, if PTCB certified, coach technicians and cashiers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers/patients, greet them, and assist with products and services to ensure positive experience.
• Maintain and manage pharmacy operations including inventory, cash handling, and clerical duties.
