Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Cape May County is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications under supervision. You will perform sterile compounding, manage inventory and ordering, restock automated cabinets and repackage medications as needed.

Responsibilities include collecting medication histories and other duties assigned by the supervising pharmacist; candidates should have a High School Diploma, and an Associate's Degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification/registration as a Pharmacy Technician (BOP) required within 90 days of hire.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.

Short Description

The Certified Pharmacy technician performs supportive duties to assist registered pharmacists to accurately and safely dispense and distribute medications. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, certified technicians may perform sterile compounding, inventory control and ordering, restocking of automated cabinets, repackaging of medications, collection of medication histories, and other duties delegated to them.
