Job summary

PharmaLogic is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support compounding and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals under strict state and federal guidelines. You will ensure product quality, perform QC testing, and serve as a liaison with care providers and facilities.

The role requires 1+ year of experience, flexibility for evenings/holidays/weekends, strong analytical and customer service skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician with 1+ year experience in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses radiopharmaceuticals per physician’s prescriptions and regulations.
• Performs Quality Control testing on all dispensed products and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Acts as a customer service liaison for internal and external customers and informs management of complaints or requests.
• Delivers nuclear pharmacy products as needed while maintaining safety standards and completing paperwork for deliveries and returns.
• Assists with stocking, inventory tracking, and notifying management when supplies are low.
• Follows SOPs and safety standards and performs other duties as required by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Nuclear Pharmacist.

Job description

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play an essential role in assisting with the compounding and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals and other services to medical care providers and facilities under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepares and dispenses radiopharmaceuticals per physician’s prescriptions and Company, State and Federal regulations.
• Performs Quality Control testing on all dispensed products. Assesses medications to determine identity, purity and strength. Ensures all nuclear products meet the quality and efficiency standards. Complies with all Company, State and Federal requirements for the handling and shipping of radioactive material. Keeps laboratory clean as per regulatory specifications.
• Acts as a customer service liaison for the company, including treating all internal and external customers with respect, listening to and assisting in resolving customer complaints. Informs management of complaints or requests in a timely manner.
• If needed, ensures the timely delivery of nuclear pharmacy products to predetermined customers on specific routes while meeting internal schedule and quality standards. Unloads products as per client specifications while providing excellent customer service. Accepts returns from clients where applicable. Breaks down delivery cases, disposes of radioactive materials and sanitizes lead pigs.
• Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries and returns.
• Assists with the stocking of products and supplies throughout Facility as well as tracking inventory. Notifies Pharmacy Manager when products or supplies are low, need to be re-ordered or replaced.
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures while safely carrying out the responsibilities of position. Complies with all company safety standards, and all federal, state and local laws.
• Performs other job-related duties as required by the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Nuclear Pharmacist.

• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician with 1+ experience in the state.
• Ability to work a variety of schedules including evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Must possess excellent critical-thinking, interpersonal communication and customer service skills. As well as good judgment and self-discipline.
• Valid driver's license.

Physical and Intellectual Requirements:

Manual dexterity for manipulating small items; ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and to handle standing, walking and sitting for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals; good eye-hand coordination; fair eyesight (with or without correction lenses); normal hearing in at least one ear (hearing range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz); ability to analyze situations, administer medication, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; effective organizational skills; a commitment to continuous learning; an ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Shift schedule rotates hours weekly between 1:00 am -9:00 am and 1:30 am and 9:30 am Monday - Friday.
