Job summary

Wilson Medical Center is hiring a Pharmacy Tech, Certified on a PRN, rotating schedule. Join a 294-bed facility serving Wilson County, with a mission to provide exceptional care to our community and beyond.

You will refill and maintain automated dispensing systems, fill medication carts daily, prepare orders, and repack bulk medications. The role supports excellent patient care with a focus on accuracy and efficiency, backed by comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• License: Proof of current CPhT standing and State Board of Pharmacy Registration; Successful completion of the National Certification Examination by the PTCB or ICPT within 6 months from date of hire/transfer
• Experience: Institutional pharmacy or medical experience preferred
• Skills and Abilities: Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision; able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
• Repackages bulk medications.
