Job summary

The GIANT Company in West Chester, PA is seeking a Pharmacy Associate to join our team. The role focuses on filling prescriptions, assisting customers, and maintaining accurate data entry while upholding safety and PPE requirements.

You will unpack totes, manage inventory, verify customer IDs when required, and support the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate, compliant service in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must meet state required minimum age.
• Must be able to successfully complete background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Promptly review work schedule, check equipment, and prepare supplies for duties.
• Move totes, unpack incoming supplies and stock shelves.
• Clean shelving, check inventory, and inspect product expiration dates.
• Help customers and answer telephone calls.
• Must verify identification of customers for products when required.
• Complete the prescription filling process, including data entry and product dispensing.
