Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists with compounding, labeling, and dispensing medications under direct supervision. You will support inventory management, prepare parenteral products, and ensure accurate documentation and medication history intake when needed.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved technician program, NYS Board of Pharmacy registration, and CPhT certification (PTCB or NHA).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with NYS Board of Pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required via PTCB or NHA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate census and inventory for all assigned areas.
• Prepare medications and place in cassettes or automated systems under pharmacist oversight.
• Repackage medications per policy and perform required documentation.
• Assist in delivering items and conducting rounds as directed by management.
• Check refrigerator temperatures and inspect storage areas for accuracy.
• Assist in reporting controlled substance discrepancies and audits.
