Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• National and SC CPhT certification required.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Licensure with the SC Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and dispensing procedures.
• Familiarity with labeling, laws and regulations in pharmacy.
• Strong computer skills and use of pharmacy software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient medication orders in PioneerRx system.
• Provide routine information about prescriptions, refills, and procedures.
• Answer calls and assist with non-clinical requests from patients and physicians.
• Assist pharmacist in dispensing medications and labeling containers.
• Monitor inventory for expired medications and assist with disposal.
• Enter allergy information into patient profiles.
• Support other pharmacy staff as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment.
• Comply with HIPAA and safety policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
