Under the Director of Pharmacy, you will maintain inventory, prepare IV solutions, perform dosage calculations, and ensure accurate record-keeping and patient service across hospital departments.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED state certification.
• Up to one year of work-related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) registration is required and maintained.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance; motor vehicle report reviewed annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in medication preparation, information, and services.
• File prescriptions using unit dose medications and basic compounding.
• Prepare intravenous solutions and admixtures using aseptic technique.
• Perform dosage calculations for IV antibiotics and fluids for all ages.
• Process medication records and charges in the Pharmacy system and business office.
• Maintain inventory, rotate stock, and manage ordering as needed.
• Transport drugs to off-site locations and assist in other departments as required.
• Support safety, infection control, and performance improvement initiatives.
