Job summary

Onco360 Oncology Pharmacy seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician – Intake/Prescription Processing for our New Hyde Park, NY location. You will create patient profiles and process orders in a collaborative team with pharmacists, providers and caregivers to ensure timely prescription processing.

The role requires 1+ year pharmacy technician experience, HS diploma, and licensure; national certification (CPhT) is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year pharmacy technician experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy terminology
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Create patient profiles and process orders from electronic prescriptions and fax queues
• Request refill prescriptions as appropriate
• Manage incoming documents from the fax server
• Generate and type prescriptions from orders for pharmacist verification
• Follow up on outbound prescription transfers and clarify patient information
