Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team at New Hanover Regional Medical Center - IV Center. Evening schedule.

The role supports pharmacists, prepares and dispenses medications, and maintains inventory in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include a pharmacy tech certification or relevant experience, state registration, and multiple certifications within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/associate degree preferred.
• Pharmacy technician certification or relevant experience.
• Current state registration/renewal required; certified through PTCB or NHA, or active enrollment in accredited program.
• Two or more specialized certifications (PTCB/NHA or equivalent) within 12 months of hire.
• Two forms of evidence: ability to drive between facilities and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong math, verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications.
• Assist pharmacists with daily operations.
• Maintain medication inventory and records.
• Provide knowledgeable, friendly support to patients and staff.
