Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health in Lebanon, NH is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support drug distribution to patients under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. The position offers 40 hours per week and benefits.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, stocking and maintaining ADMs/robots, assisting with staff training, and ensuring accurate order entry and third-party claims processing as part of a busy hospital pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a health or related field (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or equivalent education/experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to remain composed under stress.

Responsibilities

• Answers Phones.
• Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices.
• Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines (ADMs) and/or robots (e.g., shelves, carousels, Parata).
• May assist with orienting and training pharmacy department staff.
• Communicates supply issues to appropriate personnel.
• Assists in revising policy and procedure.
• Delivers meds to beds or patient care areas.
• Inpatient Only: Prepares or compounds non-sterile, non-antineoplastic drug products under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
• Maintains the hardware and software of the department's computer systems.
• Outpatient Only: Electronically processes prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for verification by a pharmacist.
• Take verbal orders from providers, runs registers, performs production and data entry production.
• Processes third party claims.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
