The Newport Medical Center is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician II to join our hospital team. You will support pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and record-keeping in a patient‑focused environment.

Responsibilities include sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering excellent patient service to staff and patients.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• LPT - Licensed Pharmacy Tech in state of employment required
• PHAR-C - Certified Pharmacy Tech required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in preparation, compounding, labeling, and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital policies.
• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounded medications using aseptic techniques.
• Conducts inventory management activities, including monitoring medication stock levels and ordering supplies.
• Maintains accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory transactions.
• Supports pharmacists in medication reviews and reconciliation.
