Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing of prescription medications under pharmacist supervision. You will enter customer data, counsel patients, and assist with pharmacy operations and adherence to regulatory policies.

The role requires basic math, strong communication, and computer literacy. Responsibilities include maintaining records, supporting financial goals, and protecting the security of controlled substances.

Qualifications

• Must have a Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate from an accepted program.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, all supervised by the Pharmacist.
• Follow directions from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager.
• Enter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, complete all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy.
• Counsels patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
• Fulfill general housekeeping duties.
• Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense.
• Maintain security of all controlled substances
