Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under direct supervision and support the Pharmacy Department’s daily operations, from processing prescriptions to customer interactions.

Responsibilities include using pharmacy systems to enter patient data, counting and pouring medications, handling cash register duties, managing inventory, and supporting clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math, computer skills, and knowledge of store inventory control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy.
• Reviews and complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications; verify accuracy.
• Assist with inventory management and handling warehouse overages/shortages.
• Support clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers.
