Job summary

H-E-B in Austin, TX seeks a Pharmacy Tech to join a fast-paced retail team focused on accurate prescription processing and excellent patient service. You will work with pharmacists to ensure safety, privacy, and efficiency across daily operations.

Responsibilities include handling RxEVO prescriptions, inventory management, third-party adjudication, and participation in screening events while upholding HIPAA and SOPs. Strong multitasking and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of pharmacy experience preferred.
• 1+ years as an active retail Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Role models / provides superior customer service and service standards
• Promotes / embodies Greet, Ask & Thank and H-E-B telephone strategies
• Manages exception station; solves third-party issues
• Receives / processes written prescriptions from customers using RxEVO; verifies complete patient information to input into the computer system; processes third-party prescriptions; manages adjudication review
• Coordinates Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, immunization scheduling, and future events
• Maintains H-E-B Rx screener status; participates in screening events
• Assists with Pharmacy operations-related tasks (e.g., recalls, offsite storage, recalls, etc.)
• Orders / manages inventory; processes invoices daily
• Reviews Warehouse and DSD orders
• Checks deliveries for accuracy; notifies discrepancies; adjusts
• Maintains automated prescription processing equipment (Kirby Lester, ScriptPro, etc.)
• Applies computer troubleshooting and prescription application overview
• Processes RxIMS reports
• Performs other assigned duties
