Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Tech to support pharmacists in daily department workflow. You will assist with procurement, preparation, delivery, and restocking of medications, ensuring compliance with policies and safety procedures.

You will interact with physicians, nurses, and patients to verify orders, resolve discrepancies, and help maintain accurate records using our computerized systems. Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• TN State Pharmacy Tech license.
• PTCB or CPhT must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispenses accordingly.
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors, and complaints.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor, record, and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
