Job summary

GF Fitness Newington is looking for an experienced Certified Personal Trainer to join our energetic team in a vibrant in-person setting. You will design tailored programs, coach clients, and guide health journeys with passion and expertise.

You will lead one-on-one sessions and group classes, emphasizing safety, biomechanics, and motivation while promoting memberships and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Personal Trainer from an accredited organization is required.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, and body mechanics to design effective training programs.
• Experience in sports coaching, group fitness instruction, or physical education teaching is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in CPR and AED operation to ensure client safety at all times.
• Familiarity with health club operations, gym equipment handling, heavy lifting techniques, and liability insurance requirements.
• Excellent coaching skills with the ability to motivate diverse clients of all ages and fitness levels.
• Knowledge of fitness sales strategies to promote services effectively while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored fitness programs for clients based on their goals, fitness levels, and biomechanics knowledge
• Conduct one-on-one personal training sessions focusing on proper body mechanics, heavy lifting techniques, and injury prevention through manual handling and first aid practices
• Lead engaging group fitness classes that motivate participants and promote community spirit
• Provide expert coaching in sports techniques, physiology, anatomy, and biomechanics to enhance performance and safety
• Ensure client safety by adhering to health club standards, operating AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and maintaining liability insurance compliance
• Offer exceptional fitness customer service by addressing client needs, tracking progress, and adjusting programs accordingly
• Promote fitness sales by educating clients on available services and memberships while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment
