Job summary

One Love Agency is seeking a compassionate Certified Peer Support Service Worker (PSS) and/or Youth Support Service Worker (YSS) in Idaho. You will support adults and youth facing mental health challenges, addiction recovery, and co-occurring disorders, while building and managing your own caseload within a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) and/or Certified Youth Support Specialist (YSS) in Idaho.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications in psychology, social work, addiction counseling, or related fields preferred.
• Experience with adults and/or youth in supportive or mentorship roles, especially in addiction recovery and co-occurring disorders.
• Strong understanding of challenges faced by individuals dealing with mental health issues, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
• Excellent communication skills with active listening, empathy, and rapport-building abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and data entry.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Remote work offsite but in-person work in the community.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a caseload of adult and/or youth clients, providing ongoing support, advocacy, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and medical personnel to ensure comprehensive care.
• Conduct regular assessments and develop individualized support plans.
• Provide emotional support, guidance, and coping skills for recovery.
• Facilitate peer support groups and community activities.
• Advocate for clients’ rights and assist with navigating health, housing, and employment services.
• Maintain accurate client progress documentation, ensuring confidentiality.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance peer support skills.
