Job summary

LCH Health and Community Services in Kennett Square, PA, seeks a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our MAT team. You will draw on lived experience to help participants set recovery goals, access resources, and stay engaged in treatment.

You will lead one-on-one support, group sessions, and advocacy efforts, documenting interactions and collaborating with providers to improve overall health and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Specialist and Peer Recovery Specialist credentials.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in training, education or career development.
• Experience in Community Mental Health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with providers, staff, and community towards improving both physical and mental health for individuals and families.
• Assess, refer, and monitor progress towards achieving goals in the overall health of individuals and families.
• Provide one-on-one peer support, and groups focused on behavior changes to improve quality of life.
• Empower individuals with skills to engage in the management of both physical and mental health.
• Document interactions and interventions as directed.
• Follow all mandated reporter guidelines and always review suspicious concerns with supervisor.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) team. In this role, you will use your lived experience with mental health, substance use recovery, or co-occurring conditions to support individuals on their recovery journey. As a trusted peer, you will help participants develop recovery goals, navigate community resources, build self-management skills, and maintain engagement in treatment. Through one-on-one support, group facilitation, advocacy, and mentorship, you will empower individuals to improve their overall health, wellness, and quality of life.
