Job summary

McIntosh Trail Community Service Board is seeking staff to assist individuals with daily living activities in home or facility settings, under direct supervision.

You will observe client behavior, document incidents, and provide training in basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills. This role requires ensuring services are authorized, following treatment plans, and maintaining policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Peer Specialist or two years abstinence in recovery with CARES eligibility within a year.
• Some positions require a valid Georgia Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities at home, daytime non-residential facility, or residential facility.
• Observe and monitor client's behavior; chart observations and incidents.
• Provide training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills to consumers/students.
• Ensure that all applicable services are authorized prior to rendering services.
• Follow individual treatment plans and interventions; seek supervision and participate in staffing for Peer referrals.
• Perform related duties as assigned and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

Summary

Under direct supervision, assists with daily living activities at the person's home, in a daytime non-residential facility or a residential facility. Observes and monitors client's behavior and charts observations and incidents. Provides training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills to consumers/students in hospital, residence, group home, workshop, or supported employment environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all applicable services are authorized prior to rendering services.
• Demonstrates competence in direct service work with individuals and or their family members.
• Follow through on individual treatment plans and interventions. Seek consultation and supervision in cases and participate in staffing for Peer referrals.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Peer Specialist or person with two years abstinence in recovery and eligible for becoming a CARES within a year.
• Note: Some positions require a valid Georgia's Driver's License.
