Earn $22.22/hour with the selection of the Enhanced Pay Option.

Position Details

Provide peer support to individuals, offering guidance and encouragement to promote responsibility and active participation in their recovery. Serve as a mentor to foster hope and empowerment. Offer expertise from a mental health perspective to the team regarding symptoms of mental illness, medication effects, treatment responses, and personal recovery experiences. Collaborate to create a respectful, team-oriented environment that emphasizes self-determination and shared decision-making in treatment planning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related human service field preferred
• Must have an active Certified Peer Specialist certification in PA
• Cannot accept a Certified Recovery Specialist certification
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in behavioral health, forensic, sexual offending behaviors, or residential services
• Knowledge of severe mental illness, recovery principles, and recovery-driven systems
• Personal experience with mental health services and willingness to share recovery experiences
• Valid driver's license
• All required OMHSAS clearances
