Position: Certified Peer Specialist

Location: Coudersport, PA, USA

Compensation: $13.53 per hour, Hourly, Full Time

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to provide recovery-oriented services (in-home or community-based) to individuals with major mental health diagnoses. The ideal candidate must be a self-identified individual with personal experience of mental health recovery, who has received or is receiving services as defined in MH Bulletin OMH-94-04, Serious Mental Illness: Adult Priority Group. The role involves utilizing personal recovery stories to support consumers. Reliable transportation is required to perform job duties.

This position can be full-time or part-time.

Qualifications
  • Personal lived experience with mental health recovery, with a current mental health diagnosis and readiness to support others in similar situations.
Certifications, Licenses, & Requirements
  • Completion and certification of Peer Specialist Certification training approved by the Peer Support Director.
  • Obtain Pennsylvania Board Certification (PCB) immediately after passing the PCB Examination.
  • Ability to obtain necessary clearances, including child abuse and working with children.
  • Reliable personal transportation to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle safely in various weather conditions.
  • At least 21 years old with a driving record meeting the DCI Vehicle Fleet Policy standards.
