Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as CPSS or PRSS from a state/national board.
• Lived experience of recovery (1–2 years minimum).
• At least 2 years hands-on experience as a Peer Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training curricula for peer competencies and recovery model.
• Model peer principles and ethical boundaries in instruction and self-disclosure.
• Facilitate adult learning with diverse methods (role-plays, discussions, scenarios).
• Assess students’ mastery of core skills like active listening and boundary navigation.
• Mentor students and provide feedback; track attendance and competency.
• Guide students through certification exam processes and documentation requirements.
• Update courseware to align with state boards, SAMHSA, and HIPAA guidelines.
