Job summary

Ashley Addiction Treatment is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to maintain an active caseload and provide regular, individual peer support to patients throughout treatment. The CPRS collaborates with the treatment team to ensure quality care and connects patients to appropriate aftercare resources.

The role requires Maryland CPRS, CPR/BLS, CPI, and Recovery Coach Academy certifications, plus one year in SUD/behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• Maryland CPRS certification is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certificate is required.
• Recovery Coach Academy certification is required.
• One year of work experience in SUD or behavioral health setting is required.
• High School diploma or GED is required; higher degrees in Human Services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an active caseload of Ashley patients and provides individual peer support sessions.
• Meets with assigned patients weekly for 30+ minute sessions.
• Collaborates with clinical staff to support discharge planning and aftercare connections.
• Facilitates community topic groups, mutual support groups, and educational lectures.
• Documents patient progress and concerns in EMR and Tier systems with accurate timestamps.
• Ensures patient rights and responsibilities are upheld.
