Job summary

GRAND Mental Health is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (CPRSS) in Tulsa, OK to provide recovery-oriented services at the outpatient level. The role emphasizes mentoring, coping strategies, goal setting, and facilitating self-directed recovery tools.

Responsibilities include teaching recovery practices, supporting WRAP, building social skills, and collaborating with treatment teams to promote consumer empowerment and independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience and participation in local or national consumer advocacy or knowledge in mental health recovery preferred.
• Core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders may be expected.

Responsibilities

• Providing and advocating for effective recovery-oriented services.
• Assist consumers in obtaining services that suit that individual’s recovery needs.
• Inform consumers about community and natural supports and how to utilize them in the recovery process.
• Assist consumers in developing empowerment skills through self-advocacy.
• Facilitate wellness activities, groups and individual sessions to promote healthy living.
• Attend treatment team and program development meetings to promote the use of self-directed recovery tools.
