Job summary

UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL is seeking a counselor/therapist role focused on recovery support. You will work with patients who have histories of chemical addiction, sharing personal experience in a therapeutic context under supervision.

Requirements include involvement in a Substance Recovery Program and a valid driver's license; CPRS or CADC certification is preferred and training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have completed a Substance Recovery Program or be currently involved in a Recovery Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence. Required
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and/or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS). If not CPRS certified, SAH will provide training. CPRS or CADC must be obtained within twenty eight (28) months of hire. Preferred
