Job summary

Master Center for Addiction Medicine in Virginia Beach seeks a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to support patients in recovery and coordinate with the treatment team. The CPRS conducts outreach, documents progress, and helps patients meet treatment plans in a busy outpatient setting that includes MAT, detox, and sustained recovery programs.

The ideal candidate has personal sustained recovery of two years or more, CPRS certification preferred, and completion of a 72‑hour training

Qualifications

• Two+ years of personal sustained recovery required.
• Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist preferred (training, hours, and exam).
• Completed 72-hour training; hours may be provided on the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery coaching to individual patients and support treatment teams.
• Act as liaison to physicians and the care team in outpatient MAT, detox, and recovery programs.
• Orient patients, take histories, report to physicians, and assist with treatment-plan goals.
• Coach patients through early recovery and maintain contact to support progress and collect outcomes.

Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS)

Master Center for Addiction Medicine is an out‑patient medical practice located in Glen Allen, Virginia, expanding to additional areas of Virginia. We are seeking a qualified and passionate CPRS in VA Beach, VA.

The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist provides recovery coaching to individual patients and serves as a liaison to the providers and the treatment team in a busy out‑patient addiction practice that provides MAT, detox and sustained recovery programs. The CPRS facilitates patient encounters by orienting patients, taking histories, reporting to physicians and supporting patients in meeting treatment‑plan and recovery goals. The CPRS coaches patients through early recovery and maintains regular contact with patients to support them and collect outcome data.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of personal sustained recovery.
• Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist preferred (completed training, hours and passed the exam).
• Completed 72‑hour training. For the right candidate, we will provide the required hours on the job.

Job Type: Full‑time

Salary starting at: $18+ an hour
