Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Recovery Peer Advocate to support peers in Cortland, NY. You will help develop recovery plans, model coping skills, and participate in system meetings as needed.

Required NYS CRPA certification (or eligible), a high school diploma, and the ability to complete background screenings. Onsite role with a competitive hourly wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete required background screenings.
• Experience as a peer/family member with personal recovery experience preferred.
• CRPA certification required (NYS).
• Excellent client service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Helping peers develop recovery plans and supporting progress.
• Learning and practicing new skills to assist peers.
• Helping peers self-monitor their progress and coping strategies.
• Attending court and other system meetings as a support.
• Facilitating peer support groups and advocating for services.
