Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health seeks a Certified Peer Mobile Response Specialist in Steelville, MO, to provide recovery-focused support to clients through in-person and phone interactions. You will share your recovery story, offer validation, and foster hope within a compassionate team.

Responsibilities include client engagement, documenting progress, promoting coping skills, and adhering to core competencies in crisis services. A valid MO Peer certification and a driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Missouri Peer Specialist.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with favorable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients in collaborative and caring relationships, using interpersonal skills and recovery knowledge.
• Provide validation of experiences and feelings, explore community roles, celebrate client accomplishments.
• Promote coping skills for managing addictions and mental health symptoms while encouraging natural supports.
• Deliver a person-centered treatment approach, personalizing recovery goals to align with client hopes.
• Create a trauma-informed environment that emphasizes safety and empowerment.
• Conduct face-to-face and telephone contacts with consumers from crisis programs, building effective relationships.
• Attend scheduled meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Complete all documentation by stated deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Crisis Services or designee.
• Review and follow the ACI Four Core Competencies.
