Pediatric Dentistry of CenLA in Alexandria, LA is seeking an experienced Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) to support a busy pediatric practice. You must hold current EDDA certification for duties and be able to work with children in a caring, collaborative team.

The role involves radiography, expanded duties, patient education, scheduling, and instrument sterilization. Prior pediatric experience is a plus, with a strong emphasis on safety and infection control.

• Take digital radiographs (bitewings and panoramic) as permitted by credentials.
• Perform expanded-duty functions within scope of credentials.
• Provide oral hygiene and dietary education to children and parents.
• Schedule follow-ups and help keep daily schedule organized.
• Prepare and turnover operatories and treatment areas.
• Support parent consultations and treatment‑plan discussions.
• Sterilize instruments and restock rooms.
• Follow infection control and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with practice marketing and referrals.
