Job summary

The JOY FM is seeking a full-time certified dental assistant to join a busy pediatric dental office. You will take digital radiographs, perform prophy and fluoride treatments, and help children feel comfortable before, during, and after dental procedures.

You will teach oral hygiene to children and parents, explain treatment plans, provide pre- and post-procedure instructions, assist with four-handed restorations, and sterilize instruments to maintain a sterile environment.

Qualifications

• Must be personable, energetic and excellent with children.
• Only Certified Dental Assistants need to apply.

Responsibilities

• Take digital dental radiographs.
• Perform prophy and fluoride treatments for children.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Teach patients and parents appropriate oral hygiene strategies.
• Explain treatment plans to parents.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions to parents.
• Perform 4-handed chair-side restorative assisting.
• Sterilize instruments.
